About Us

Sand Hill Elementary is a safe, caring school community that is committed to ensuring that children learn the skills they need to be successful.  Sand Hill's school motto is "Educate, Empower and Inspire All Students."  Welcome to our school!

Sand Hill serves approximately 540 students in grades kindergarten through grade five.  Our staff is dedicated to success for all students.  In our classrooms, children are engaged in a range of activities to develop and extend basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as other academic areas.  Specialists teach classes for all grades in music, physical education, and library. Our K-2 students also have the opportunity to participate in Art. This supplements classroom efforts to provide enrichment and offers a wide range of learning opportunities to students.

Parent and community involvement is valued at Sand Hill Elementary, and is essential in providing successful programs and learning opportunities for students.  Please visit the Parent Info tab for information on the Sand Hill PTSO, and other volunteer opportunities within our school.

We are located at 791 NE Sand Hill Road, in Belfair, Washington, overlooking the beautiful Hood Canal.

Drop off begins at 9:15, school starts at 9:20 a.m. and students are dismissed at 4:00 PM.  If we are on a half day schedule, school is dismissed at 12:50 PM.  On Early Release Wednesdays, school is dismissed at 2:30 PM.
